Riley’s Remarkable Roller Coaster Ride comes alive in two unique, interactive programs for elementary-age students:

Emily Capuria: Unlocking Your Magic–Mindfulness, self-trust, and confidence-building

Elizabeth Stryker: Artistic Inspiration–Creativity, art exploration, and hands-on drawing

Both programs are adaptable for libraries, YMCAs, nature centers, yoga studios, dance studios, and schools.

Unlocking Your Magic

Emily, the author of Riley’s Remarkable Roller Coaster Ride, guides students through a fun, interactive experience designed to normalize big feelings and help children reconnect with themselves.

Program Highlights:

The Roller Coaster Breath: A Mindfulness Tool
Students learn a simple, fun technique combining deep breathing, visualization, and a body scan to calm their bodies and minds. This tool helps them reset, refocus, and feel more in control during school, sports, friendships, and everyday life.

Riding Life's Ups & Downs
Emily teaches that everyone experiences twists and turns—whether it’s test anxiety, peer or parent pressure, or new experiences. By connecting with themselves and their magic, students build confidence and resilience to navigate life’s ups and downs.

Discovering Your 3 Magic Ingredients
Students explore their own unique “magic ingredients” and celebrate what makes them special. The program includes:

A customized 24" x 48" “You Are Magic” poster for your school
Interactive magic handshake and cheer
Magic scavenger hunt and bookmark for students to take home

This program is energetic, interactive, and designed to leave students feeling empowered, confident, and connected to their own special magic.

Elizabeth Stryker – Artistic Inspiration

Elizabeth, the illustrator of Riley’s Remarkable Roller Coaster Ride, focuses on creativity and visual expression, guiding students to see the art inside themselves.

Program Highlights:

Body Mindfulness Through Illustration
Students learn the Rollercoaster Breath to settle and tune into their bodies, preparing them to explore art with focus and awareness.

Artistic Inspiration
Elizabeth shows students how the book’s illustrations were created and encourages them to embrace their own creativity.

Activities include:

Step-by-step drawing guidance for characters from the book
Opportunities for students to create their own unique artwork
Emphasis on individuality—each student’s drawing is different, just like them!

The program includes:

Book reading and discussion about the illustrations
Hands-on drawing session
